The school is supported by an active Parents and Citizens Association. It is a fully incorporated body under the auspicies of QCPCA so can run functions and fund raising activities.
The P&C meets the first Thursday of each month at 6pm in the meeting room in the Administration building. New members are always welcome. Meetings are always friendly and social.
The P&C is active in fundraising. Primarily this is done in support of community events eg. running the Dagwood Dog stall at the Coal & Country Frestival. The canteen is the main fundraiser. It is supported by a paid convenor. Funds raised by the P&C have been spent in various areas throughout Moura State High School to assist the Students, main items as follows:
- travelling irrigator for the oval
- 2x sets of outdoor table and chairs, made by Trevor Kummerow
- several formal students uniforms
- Van Der Graaf generator for the science students
- changeable sign for the front of MSHS
- financial assistance for the Rock Eisteddfod
- PA System for parades
- financial asistance with computer software & hardware
- re-fit of the Tuckshop
The P&C are a valued source of guidance and feedback to the Principal in the functioning of the school. School polices and procedures are regularlly discussed at meetings. The P&C supports and endorses our uniform policy.
